We feature a variety of programs for all age groups.

  Bright Ideas Christian Preschool

Two day class:  for children who are at least three by September 1

• zoo phonics
• introduction to many fine motor skills
• introduction to lower case letters
• lots of play and social time, Bible stores, songs, field trips, etc.

Three day class:  for children who are at least four by December 1

• zoo phonics
• daily use of many fine motor skills including coloring, cutting, writing, gluing, etc.
• upper and lower case letters
• kindergarten readiness skills
• lots of play and social time, Bible stories, songs, field trips, etc.

Both classes are taught by teachers with at least 10 years experience working with preschool age children.

• Nursery is available every Sunday but, with the exception of occasional get-togethers, all other groups meet only during the school year.
• Nursery is available up to age 3.  There are not lessons given, just interaction between the children and the adults with playtime.

• Children's Worship: Children in Pre-K and Kindergarten are welcome to join Children's Church. After the first set of songs are sung, the children are dismissed to their own worship service. Children's Church focuses on the intellectual needs of the younger children with stories, crafts, drawing and songs.
• Starting January 2011, there will be a separate group, Little Lambs, for 2 and 3 year olds that will also be held at the same time as Children's Worship.  Until then, the children of that age group are welcome to stay in the service or in nursery.

• Sunday School - all ages - 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM on Sundays.

• Middle School Youth group: This group meets every other week alternating Bible study and activities.
• High School Youth Group: This group meets for socialization, outings and bible study.

• Intergenerational Bible Study - Sunday mornings 11:30 - 12:15
• Men's Bible Study and Breakfast - Tuesday mornings at 6:30AM.
• Women's Bible Study - Tuesday Mornings from 10:00AM - 11:30 AM.
• Women's Bible Study (W3 - Women Without Walls): Time to be announced.

• Small groups: Searchlight does not hold evening services. In place of that, each member is encouraged to be part of a small group. There are several groups that meet bi-monthly for a time of socialization, bible study and discussion. The groups are also meant to give a comfortable and welcoming place for people to give over their cares to friends, share needs and be needed support for one another.
